Name | Version: | Turing Machine MIDI Generator 1.1 |
Author: | ntrm |
Device Type: | MIDI Generator |
Description: | Turing Machine is a MIDI Tools version of the Music Thing Modular Turing Machine sequencer. Its ingenious design uses a randomness and a 16-bit shift register to generate pitches and rhythmic patterns. What makes the Turing Machine so special is its "big knob" that allows you to control the amount of randomness that is used to generate notes. With the big knob at the center (12 o'clock), the resulting notes will be completely random. Turning the knob left or right reduces the amount of randomness. This makes it great for generating variations on a melody or beat. This device takes advantage of Ableton Live's new Scales feature, which means that the generated melodies will remain in key. |

I'm not sure if any of your devices do this, but I'm looking for a device that lets you determine what space is applied between your notes. For example, if I had a one bar beat with six notes inside it and they each had four beats between each note, I would like to be able to change it so there's only two beats between each note or maybe eight beats. This way, the notes would get longer or shorter so that the duration in between them could change. Do you have anything like that, or could you make something like that?
