Overview

Name | Version: Meris LVX Controller 1.2.1
Author: Catsiesta
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: This is a controller designed for users of Meris LVX. It follows the version released last October and supports the new v1.2.1 firmware of LVX.

Now, the Damping parameter can be controlled as well as loaded, and clicking the preset number reloads the current LVX parameter values. Additionally, minor issues have been resolved.

The looper, modifier, and expression functions of LVX are still not controllable. While preparation is complete, activating these features requires time investment on my part.
(Meris recently released PrEDITOR, which allows for control of all LVX functions and library storage through an app.)

This contrasts with PrEDITOR by enabling control and viewing of all parameters at once for the Dynamics, Preamp, Filter, Pitch, Modulate, Delay (including Multi tab and Multer filter), and Mix modules.

Furthermore, when using automation in Ableton Live, it's possible to sequence while observing the values applied on LVX, not just the CC values of the parameters.

PrEDITOR requires controlling each parameter on module-specific pages, making it somewhat cumbersome to create your own sound by checking all parameters at once.

I requested a MIDI Thru off feature from Meris last year, but it seems it was not adopted in this firmware update.

So to avoid MIDI infinite loops, please use the channel set on the LVX for the MIDI Out channel in ableton, and any other channel for the MIDI In channel.

Although I believe very few people will actually use it, it could be very useful when used in conjunction with prEDITOR.

hello thanks for making this! it works well but the names of the patches on the LVX do not show up on the M4L plug when i change the program. is there a certain way to configure so i can see the name on the M4L plug to match the name on the LVX hardware?

First, I have uploaded the version I am using (v1.2.1.1), which uses fewer resources. When you load the desired patch number in M4L, all parameter values, including the preset name, are sent into the DAW's MIDI input via sysex and displayed on the plugin. Please use an app like a MIDI monitor to check the sysex messages received. They are 231 bytes in size. In some cases with lower quality MIDI interfaces, only part of the sysex data is transmitted. Please capture detailed symptoms and send them to orbitaldistance@gmail.com.
I need the same but for Mercury X.
Time to learn max4live.
If I had bought MercuryX, I would have created an editor regardless of prEDITOR. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to purchase MercuryX yet.
Hi, are there any instructions on how to have the device communicate with Live? The device loads but does not make changes for me unless I remap the parameters using MIDI mapping. Thanks.
