Overview

Name | Version: MIDI Hack Pro 1.5
Author: ldmdevices
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: *Much of the functionality of this device can now be found in my Chance10 pack available from isotonikstudios.com - which includes other cool devices such as velocity sequencer and is polyphonic*

A probability-based semi-generative multi midi effect unit.

Each slider controls the probability of each midi note going through a particular filter. The filters include -

* chance of the note being played
*pitch change
*octave shift
*note repeater
*arpeggiator

There are further controls for the variables of these filters, as well as a note delay dial and velocity randomize amount. The note repeater has now been expanded to include velocity ramp controls, 10 different repeat speeds, and probability control for each speed.

Also included is a sequencer to bypass any filters so particular sections of midi signals can come through unmodified. Another sequencer controls sending the audio to up to 3 Return Tracks in Live. Both of these sequencers have variable length and speed.

The Block section will prevent notes either coming into or out of the device.

Overall device output can be set to a number of modes and scales and the notes limited to a set range.

A demonstration can be seen here - https://vimeo.com/216324791

v1.2 -Now 10 repeat speeds with probability control and ramp settings.
v1.3 - Swing setting added
v1.35 - bug fixes - bypass/sends sequencer, UI update
v1.4 - small update for the delay to affect the repeated and arped notes
v1.5 - updated UI for Live 10

I'm actually an English teacher lol
You may have a point, but really? so snarky?
I'm also trying to make a new video for version 1.4, but having issues with my video editing software just now. Check the video above for the basic idea
Hey, thanks for this device, i bought it and really loved it.

If you have time to improve it and make it perfect, could you make a 0-100% knob that randomly mute outcoming notes ?
This is glitchy on the Live 10 beta. The sliders/knobs are wonky.
Hi, the "random notes" function doesn't work anymore for me in live 10...
Hello- I'm most interested in the swing function. I would love to be able to record MIDI into Ableton and then have a swing amount (groove) applied to the loop. Can this device achieve that, or does the swing amount only apply to the effects that are applied to the midi notes?
