Name | Version: | EUCLIDIATOR - Euclidean Arpeggiator 1.0.3 |
Author: | MrPreskovik |
Device Type: | MIDI Effect |
Description: | Yet another Euclidean rhythm generator! It’s distinctive characteristic though is to be combined here with an arpeggiator. It plays the notes from a held chord as a series, like a classic arpeggiator, but with more sophisticated rhythmic patterns that take their source from a real Euclidean engine. To jazz up things a bit more, the Euclidean generator can pass the played pattern through a random note drop filter that will provide variations by arbitrarily removing some hits from the initial pattern. This feature takes its inspiration from the Spice and Dice module of the Arturia Microfreak. And if that wasn't enough, Euclidiator provides two autonomous Euclidean rhythmic lines! This makes it possible to construct even more sophisticated interlaced rhythm patterns. To control each of those rhythmic lines, we determine a split point in the held notes. The lower notes will feed the lower line while the upper notes will be transferred into the upper line. All the parameters can be controlled in realtime which provides endlessly possibilities for playing live. All these feature makes the Euclidiattor a very fun and inspiring device to play with. Changelog: v1.0.3: - Resets the arpeggio sequence to the beginning when loaded. v1.0.2: - Improved system stability when several Euclidators are used in the same Live set. - Improved compatibility between various Live versions - Improved display performances on low powered computers v1.0.1: - Fixed a display bug related to the ‘Random Drop’ sections that were inverted in the user interface. v1.0.0: - Initial Stable release Thanks to Salvatore Córdova for test and bug reports. |

Thanks for this device, it reminds me of the old trance gate on the old Vanguard Refx Plugin.

I've had a good look at this patch - it's a REALLY elegantly written mechanism! Well done! Especially the input note handling is superb!
Feature suggestion: My favourite part of the Ableton Arpeggiator is the hold function.
If you insert a [sustain] object before the borax, you can achieve this function quite easily, I reckon?
Oh, and it might be useful to have 1 step per sequence, yet the pulse counter has 2 as its set minimum.
again, insane work. I have promptly stolen it all for my own work :)

Great work, I really love it. Reminds me a bit of the Euclidean Rhythms Player for Reason.
Would be awesome to have the ability to change the velocity for each step individually. And also being able to remove / add steps manually.
Maybe in V2. ;)

a MIDI Retrigger - like automatic refresh - would be great for this device - every time you start ableton the Arp starts from the last stopped state which is a bit off
thanks !
thanks !
