Name | Version: | Trig Condition 1.0 |
Author: | borisdivjak |
Device Type: | MIDI Effect |
Description: | Lets your MIDI notes pass through every few repetitions of the clip, similar to Elektron’s A:B trig conditions. 'Every n-th' sets how many times the clip plays before the trig condition is true. 'Out of' sets how many times the clip plays before the count is reset and starts over again. This cycle then repeats. For example, with the setting 2:4, the trig condition is true the second time the clip plays and then the sixth, the tenth, and so on. - Push 2 ready - Try automating in Live's step sequencer - Try adding to each pad in a drum rack - Works with session clips as well as arrangement clips - Invert condition (play every time except n-th repeat) |

Hi, Boris! Thank you for the device. Im a huge trig conditions fan and having this functionality inside of ableton is a god send to me. However, the device stops functioning after recording a performance into arranger. Are there any specific requirements to make it work? (Btw it works just fine in session view)

Hi AudioUnit, great to hear you're liking the concept. The device should also work in the arranger view, but there are a few caveats.
Can you check if the automation of the parameters got recorded correctly in the arranger view? Does it work in the arranger if you're using it without any automation?
Also what system are you using? And which versions of Live and Max?

As for automation - yes, it's recorded correctly for sure. In arranger it works properly unless I apply automation and after that it doesnt unless I delete/add device again. Live 11.2.6/ Max 8.5.3 / win10

Thanks for the additional info, AudioUnit. I'll see if I can replicate the issue on my system when I get some time. So far I haven't encountered a similar problem, which makes me think it'll be difficult to pin down.

Thanks for this great device!
Just checking this device out on my Push 2 and noticed that it will ignore any trig conditions for the first pass through the sequence.
For ex. if i draw 16th notes across the first 2 rows, and automate the last 4 steps to 1:4, all the notes play on the first pass and then again on the 5th pass through the sequence. Seems the iteration counting is off by 1.
BTW - someone posted this on elektronauts and its getting lots of love from the Push 3 community :)

edit: nevermind my comment above. User error as I just saw the notes about the "Every-nth" parameter.
Great device :)
