Overview

Name | Version: Spektro Nucleation MK2 1.2
Author: IcaroFerre
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: Nucleation is a wave-shaping and digital distortion Max for Live device.

We designed Nucleation’s workflow to be fun and easy to use: select one of the three wave-shaping modes (High-Def, Classic or Lo-Fi) and one of the 64 preset waveforms as the wave-folder’s index. You can also create your own waveform using the built-in editor.
The advanced editor lets you edit existing waveforms or create your own by mixing between six different waveforms (Sine 1, Sine 2, Sinc, Cosine, Saw, and Random) and applying different effects (Fold, Transform, Shift, Zoom, and Focus). You can also save your creations to your User Bank to use them in future projects.
Because Nucleation generates these waveforms on-the-fly, you can automate the different available parameters to create more interesting and complex sounds.

The digital distortion section includes 2 new distortion algorithms: Mode 1 was designed to sound akin to regular bit-crushers while Mode 2 uses audio-rate crossfaders and ring-mods to create a unique distortion sound. Mode 2 can also be used to create a stereo-spread effect on mono signals.

Nucleation MK2 also includes built-in compressor, timbre parameter, and a new 4X Oversampling mode which reduces aliasing and improves the overall sound of the device.

Change-log:

1.0:
- Initial Release

1.1:
- Nucleation now sound more organic and precise due to it's re-designed DSP engine.
- 3 new wave-shaping modes:
- High Def: New high quality mode which generates more organic and hamonically rich timbres.
- Classic: Replicates the grittier and harsher sound of Nucleation mk2 1.0.
- Lo-Fi: Uses a lower quality waveform to generate timbres that sound more digital and old-school.
- New built-in Compressor to reduce the dynamic range of incoming signals.
- New Timbre parameter that changes the sound by adding extra harmonics.
- The DC-Offset parameter now shows values in percentage (0 to 100%).
- The Drive knob no longer generates artifacts when automated / modulated.
- Minor changes to the design of the device.

1.2:
- Minor bug fixes and design improvements for Live 10
