Description: | Fragments is a granular synthesizer designed to generate glitched and percussive loops. It's granular engine can generate 8 unique voices that can be sequenced using the built-in sequencer or via MIDI. Because each granular voice can be controlled independently, the eight voices can be used combined and played as a "glitch drum kit". All the granular parameters available in Fragments can be edited manually via the multi-sliders or randomized to any specific range. Each parameter also includes a Motion feature that shuffles around the values of that parameter between the 8 voices, adding movement and variation to the patch. The Motion direction and rate can also be set independently per parameter. You can also use Fragments as an FX Processor via the Live Input feature (requires Ableton Live 10). In Live Input mode, incoming signals are recorded to the Fragments buffer and used as the source for the Fragments granular engine. Fragments is incredibly easy to use and you can use it to generate incredible and unique loops, from glitched vocals to chaotic drum loops. Hi Icarro, as a nerd I'm wondering, is this device user-editable? I love tinkering and adding my own OSC flair to bits, but many devices are heavily obfuscated to stop the user from delving into the software.
