Overview

Name | Version: Chase Bliss Thermae Control 1.2
Author: bagnolessa
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: I took some ideas from jehrich's "Max Bliss" collection and added new functionalities and a new design.

Beyond the normal implementations that can be easily deduced from Thermae's midi manual, the great advantage that this device brings is the possibility to choose a Live's tempo-based delay, spanning from whole note to the sixty-fourth note, including dotted and triplets.

This is a real game changer, considering Thermae doesn't allow us to chose an exact tempo, due to the fact that there is no "time" knob.

A few small instructions for its correct functioning:

- The pedal must be categorically on Midi clock OFF. I have left the option to set it to On, but this prevents the possibility of spacing over all the time divisions, since the midi clock "blocks" the pedal on its internal divisions, ie quarter note, Eighth note and dotted Eighth note.

- The "PitchShift/Modulation" switch: it switches between two distinct Live.dial and Live.tab to have independent controls for pitch shifting and modulation. But in reality the information sent on the pedal is shared on the same midi control changes (pedal manufacturing limitation).
To avoid confusion between them, FIRST change the dip switch behind the pedal and THEN switch the "PitchShift/Modulation" button on the device to make changes.

- The "Sequence/Step" switch: on "Sequence mode", it just simulates the hold function (infinite feedback) receiving a CC#64 midi pedal input.
On "Step mode", still does the hold function and adds the possibility to step through intervals as the tap stomp is pressed.
So once again, FIRST change the dip switch behind the pedal and THEN switch the "Sequence/Step" button on the device.

Enjoy !

hi bagnolessa

couldn't figure out how else to contact you - would it be possible to make something like this for the Meris VLX?
Hi, sorry for the late reply, I haven't been around here for months.
I don't own the Meris VLX pedal, so it would be difficult for me to be able to test if I'm doing it right or not.
