| Description: | Use this if you work with external synths that are mixed outside of Live. The problem when doing this: When muting a track using an "External Instrument" plugin in Live, it actually doesn't stop sending MIDI, it is expecting to mute the AUDIO... but if you mixing the synths externally, it will keep playing. Add this plugin to the track that drives your external synth. It will monitor the "mute" state of the track, and block the MIDI data if the track is in the "muted" state (notes only, other MIDI data still passes through). It also contains knobs for volume and pan of the external synth, with a "follow track" check box, which will automatically map these knobs to the tracks volume and pan. This allows you to use a control surface like an APC40mk2 to drive muting, volume and pan on external synths very easily. |
