Description: | This device is a multichannel granular synthesiser created by Klara, Nini, and Benő. It is a 100-channel device with voice stealing to prevent unnecessary processing of voices that have already been allocated. It can either be played by a Kslider or a midi keyboard, note that the keyboards can only be used for transmitting pitch information, without the grain trigger parameter enabled, grains won't start playing. Grain parameters include: individual grain size, grain playback speed relating to pitch, as well as grain start variation, the equivalent of spray function on most granular devices, as well as grain envelope shape. There's also a loop function which enables you to scan through your sample buffer at a speed of your liking. There are random functions for grain size, grain speed, and panorama which are all relative to the trigger frequency, use these carefully as they may cause instant mayhem. A more subtle form of pitch randomization can also be achieved using the pitch variation dial. To add presets into the devices preset storage you need to open edit mode from your ableton session and create presets inside max. |

This is different. It seems like it only auto plays and the keyboard doesn't activate the synth.

the keyboard is only for transmitting pitch information, it doesn't send gate signals.
